For High School Counselors

In an effort to be as transparent and collaborative as possible — and to assist you in counseling your students — we’ve assembled the information on this website. If you have questions or ideas for ways we can be more helpful, please contact us.
Suspension of Testing Requirement
At this time, applicants can choose to submit standardized testing scores, but they will not be required to apply for admission. (Please note that some applicants for whom English is not their native language will still be required to submit the results of an English-language proficiency exam.)
Counselor Portal
The Hamilton College Admission Office has established a portal for counselors through Slate.org.
Hamilton Admission Staff Wants You to Know
Our admission staff compiled this list of “Hamilton highlights” you might find helpful (taken from previous editions of our annual school counselor newsletter).
Class of 2026 by the Numbers
Although our admission process isn’t just about facts and statistics, we understand that some of your students ask what a “typical admit” might look like. Here are some general guidelines to help you advise your students.
Visit Us
The best way for students — and counselors — to learn more about Hamilton is to experience it for themselves. We realize that an in-person campus visit may not always be possible, so we have many options to engage with us – on campus or virtually.
