Special Events and Facility Rentals

During the academic year, all campus facilities are reserved for the primary use and enjoyment of students, faculty, and staff for institutional activities that support the mission and goals of the College. When College facilities are not in use for academic/departmental purposes, Official College Individuals or Groups may use College facilities for events that engage Hamilton College and local communities. When the College is not in session (for athletic facilities, when teams are not in season), external groups may rent facilities for non-institutional functions.

All facilities and supporting services are reserved and coordinated, respectively, out of the Office of College Events and Scheduling between the dates of May 21 and August 10. Those facilities include all residence halls, all dining, all meeting places, and all athletic facilities.

During the academic year (September–May), the College extends the privilege of using the Chapel for memorial services to Hamilton alumni and Hamilton employees. Available dates are term and semester breaks but not holiday weekends. During the summer (June–August), memorial services are accommodated as long as College routine and other scheduled events are not disrupted.
