Services

During clinic hours, medical and nursing care is provided. Students are seen by appointment only.  If there is a medical emergency, please call 315-859-4000 to dispatch HCEMS. There is no fee for evaluation by the staff. However, students will incur charges for medication and rapid testing. Students are also responsible for charges incurred by referrals to specialists, hospital emergency rooms and outside labs.

Charges

Bills for health center charges are sent monthly to the Business Office and are applied to the tuition account. The date the bill is applied to the tuition account is not the same date the student was seen at the health center. The students are provided with the original copy of the bill. If a copy is needed, a medical release must be signed by the student to send a copy of the bill home. Students can access and print charge tickets by logging on to the Student Health Portal.

Reminder: A $10 fee will be assessed for a “no show.”

Confidentiality

Medical information is strictly confidential and may be released only with the written permission of the student. The medical record is not accessible to anyone other than the professional staff of the Student Health Center. (In case of a serious medical emergency, family and the Dean of Students’ office will be notified.)
