Chapel Bell Society Annual Gift
“This project allowed me to stretch my wings and tackle something I had never done before: 3D modeling. I am proud of the final product and am looking forward to applying this new skill to more projects in the future, whether they be for school, work or individual projects.”

Burke Library
Project Title: Burke Library 3D Model
Description: Members of the Digital Initiatives, Scholarship, and Collaboration (DISC) team used the 3D-modeling software to construct three-dimensional models of iconic buildings on Hamilton’s campus, including the Chapel, Burke Library, Soper Commons Dining Hall, Root Hall, and The Little Pub. After referencing architectural drafts, sketches, and photos, team members carefully contemplated which features were necessary to include. First, DISC members built out the building’s basic shape. Then, they added fine details — windows, doors, columns, stairs. These digital 3D models were used by N.G. Slater Corporation to manufacture mini models of the buildings that were then distributed to alumni, donors, event attendees, and others. The models were specifically crafted as gifts for members of the Chapel Bell Society.
