"Optimism on Purpose: Train your brain to see what's good"Did you know your brain in a positive state, outperforms your brain in a negative, neutral or stressed state? Or that happy people live longer? Positive emotions not only feel good, they are good for us – leading to countless physical, emotional & cognitive benefits.
But tapping into the positive emotion and adopting optimism, isn’t as simple as it sounds. Our brains have been wired to place more emphasis on the negative, in a phenomenon known as the negativity bias. What once served as a mechanism to protect our survival, now lingers as outdated and often self-sabotaging wiring.
In this session, we will look at why positive emotions are so beneficial and learn strategies to override our negativity bias. Start to prime your brain for the positive, build optimism in the face of uncertainty and learn to get on an upward spiral of positive emotion.
