Couper Press Announces New Book

Couper Press announced the release of Jazz Tales from Jazz Legends, a book authored by Fillius Jazz Archive director Monk Rowe with Romy Britell. The book gathers memorable and informative interview excerpts from 325 sessions conducted for the archive. These firsthand accounts of the jazz life are grouped into nine chapters which include Road Travails, The Color of Jazz, Thoughts on Improvisation and Inside the Studios. Photographs from the archive collection are included. The magnificent cover art was created by Marianita Peaslee.
