Fillius Jazz Archive Sponsored Fallcoming Jazz ‘15

A highlight of every Fallcoming weekend for the last 23 years has been a gathering of world class jazz talent on campus. Archive director Monk Rowe carried on the tradition conceived by Milt Fillius Jr. ’44 and invited a select group of artists to perform classic jazz in the perfect setting of the Fillius Events Barn.

This year the trio of Nicki Parrott (bass & vocals), Rossano Sportiello (piano) and Eddie Metz Jr. (drums) offered a sublime mix of jazz standards flavored with Latin rhythms and a touch of classical music. Veteran guitarist Bucky Pizzarelli, H’03, made his thirteenth Fallcoming Jazz appearance and proved it is possible to swing mightily at the age of 89.
