Physical Distancing and Remote Computer Access

Please note: As of March 2022, we no longer provide keyserver access to computers.
You may have noticed that many Macintosh computers have been removed and many Windows computers are missing keyboards and mice. In following social distancing guidelines, we have reduced the number of computers physically accessible in labs and public computing spaces to better protect the health and wellbeing of the Hamilton community. The resources on those inaccessible machines, however, are available through a remote connection to allow for continued use of the applications.
Long story short: we made some computers inaccessible but the software on them is still available to you.
The remote resources can be found on a digital map of the Hamilton Campus, found here: http://keyserver.hamilton.edu/maps/
You can search within the Keyserver map for the software you need, then follow the appropriate instructions for access:
- Macintosh to Macintosh Instructions
- Windows to Windows Instructions
- Macintosh to Windows Instructions
If you need to connect to a Macintosh using a Windows computer, please contact the Help Desk for more assistance.
These resources are available both on and off campus. If you are off campus, you will need to apply for an approved VPN connection. Please submit the VPN Request Form (https://www.hamilton.edu/offices/lits/forms/vpn-request-form).
