The installation of the CrashPlan backup utility is a straightforward process for both operating systems.

Installation on Macintosh

  1. Login in to Self Service.
  2. Select System Software from the list of options on the left side of the window.
  3. Select Code 42 and click on the Install option.
  4. Once the installation is complete, log in to the Code 42 app to start backing up.

Installation on Windows

  1. From the Start Menu, launch Software Center.
  2. Select CrashPlan from the list of Applications.
  3. Click on the Install option.
  4. Once the installation is complete, log in to the Code 42 app to start backing up.

Login issues 

  1. If you’re unable to login to the CrashPlan/Code 42 app, click on the following link: https://console.us2.crashplan.com/login/#/login
  2. Select and complete the Forgot password process from the lower right corner of the login window.
  3. You should now be able to sign in to CrashPlan using the updated credentials.
