The Game Creation Workstation is located in the Research & Design Studio, located on the first floor of Burke Library. If you would like personalized assistance with any of technologies listed below, please stop by the Research & Design Studio or contact us to set up an appointment.
Blender
Blender is an open source 3D creation suite. It supports the entirety of the 3D pipeline—modeling, rigging, animation, simulation, rendering, compositing and motion tracking, even video editing and game creation.
Unity
With Unity you can create multi platform 2D/3D games and interactive 3D environments? Unity 5 is one of the best cross-platform game engines on the market.
Twine
No coding skills are needed to create a simple interactive story with Twine. However, you can extend your stories with variables, conditional logic, images, CSS, and JavaScript when you're ready.
Twine publishes directly to HTML, so you can post your work nearly anywhere. Anything you create with Twine 2.0 is completely free to use in anyway you like (including commercial purposes).
jMonkeyEngine
This game engine is made especially for Java developers who want to create 3D games using modern technology. The software is programmed entirely in Java, intended for wide accessibility and quick deployment.
