Office Productivity

Please note that Blackboard has 200MB limit for uploading files. For sharing large files please refer to our Google Drive information (see below).

You may need to set up DUO authentication to access certain college systems such as my.hamilton. If your authentication is tied to your office telephone, and not a cellular device, you will need to make changes. Using the documentation from the Resource Center, follow the instructions for "adding a new device." You can also request a key fob for authentication by contacting the Help Desk at 315-859-4181 or helpdesk@hamilton.edu.

Hamilton College supports Google Drive and Google Shared Drive. General support for either Drive service is provided by the Help Desk.

For faculty members who have questions about transitioning course folders from the Academic Server to Google Shared Drive, please contact the Research & Design Team at 315-859-4735 or askus@hamilton.edu.

Current employees and students can sign up for Microsoft 365 at no charge to use Office on a personally-owned computer (ie, non-Hamilton barcoded). The licenses will be available for free as long as you are a current employee or student at Hamilton College. As of January 30, 2025, please note that changes to the Microsoft licensing only provide the web-based versions of the products. Desktop apps are not available under this new licensing.
